EGEHAYMER, within the scope of TS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management, has defined the criteria for carrying out appropriate procedures as an "establishment providing animals for experimental or other scientific purposes."
Laboratory animal production is carried out on a priority-of-request basis, and animals are bred in the required number and specifications (age, strain, weight, etc.) for research (for example, a notification must be made at least 4 months in advance for a request for a 3-month-old rat).
Studies are conducted within the scope of the "EGEHAYMER General Workflow Instruction for Experimental Animal Studies" ([click here])
The documents required for research planned to be carried out at EGEHAYMER are explained below:
- A photocopy of the Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments approval and one copy of the ethics committee study file.
- A photocopy of the Experimental Animal Use Certificate for each person who will perform procedures on animals.
- Experimental Animal Study Application Form (signed, 2 copies) ([click here])
- Researcher Commitment Letter (signed, 1 copy) ([click here])
- Rules to be Followed by Researchers (signed individually by all researchers who will work in the study) ([click here])
- A receipt or similar document showing that the study fee has been paid, or a letter confirming the approval of the project (if applicable).
