Xenopus laevis, an amphibian species, is preferred as a model organism in many analytical methods, ranging from the investigation of human disease genes to toxicity tests.

Ambystoma mexicanum, or the axolotl, is a species of salamander belonging to the genus Ambystoma and is one of the few tetrapods capable of regenerating its biological structures with a very high regenerative capacity. It is used as a model organism in various fields such as regenerative medicine, physiology, and molecular biology.
